Carolyn & Phil’s Wedding in Stuyvesant NY

On April 5th, me and my second shooter Kristen had the pleasure of photographing Carolyn & Phil’s wedding at a rustic barn in Stuyvesant, NY.  They are such a  fun couple! Add to that a loving family and beautiful location and what more could a photographer ask for?  You may recall that in March, I shot Carolyn and Phil’s  engagement session.  Be sure to check out that post. Below are some of my favorites from their wedding day. Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoyed shooting and editing them.

Meet Lara! She has been looking for a new home since May 2013. Big Fluffy Dog Rescue recently contacted me to see if I would help out with some photos and of course I said yes.  Below is the description from the Big Fluffy Dog Rescue Facebook page.
Lara has been looking for a home since May of last year. Yup, you heard us. MAY 2013. And lets look at the facts: She is lovely, has perfect manners and is a seriously awesome dog. There has to be a family out there for her. Help us find it.

Lara is a 5 year old, 50-pound catahoula mix. We are not sure with what as catahoulas are typically 90-pound dogs that look like red merle labs, but whatever she has in her ancestry is pretty amazing and we think aussie might be a reasonable guess given her ear set and her coloring..

Lara is awesome. We’re like a broken record – she is simply perfect. She is great with other dogs and kids and is very well-mannered in the home. You could almost trust her to guard a steak. Her foster mom raves about her and tells us she is great in the home, great on a leash and is perfectly potty trained. At 5, Lara is past her puppy phase and would do well in a home with someone looking for their first dog or just a new addition. She is a medium energy girl so she would love a long walk, but she is equally content to hang out on the sofa with you. Dogs this awesome are few and far between and we can’t believe anyone would ever give this dog up. Someone will luck out with this dog. Interested people should email

Juliet’s Alice in Wonderland Bridal Shower

Last Saturday I had the opportunity to photograph Juliet’s bridal shower, one of my amazing 2014 brides. Her shower was held in the back room of The Standard restaurant at Crossgates in Albany (Her fiancé Chris’s restaurant). As a side note, the Standard is one of my favorite restaurants and is the place where I had my first date and wedding rehearsal dinner with my wife so it was extra nice for me to be there to capture such a special occasion. The theme was Alice in Wonderland and Juliet’s sister, Anjella, did such an amazing job decorating and transforming the room into a wonderland. When I walked in, I was blown away. It was such a great celebration with so many great people.  I can’t wait to photograph their wedding at the beautiful Sixty State Place in Albany on May 24. Take a look some of my favorite photos from the evening.

Carolyn & Phil

I had the opportunity to shoot Carolyn and Phil’s engagement session a week ago in Averill Park. When I pulled into the parking lot, I knew we had to shoot in front of the old rusty car. Despite the cold and at times, deep snow, we had a great time capturing their photos. Here are some of my favorites.

Amanda & Kurt

Meet Amanda and Kurt. This is my first engagement session for 2014 and it had to have been one of the coldest days ever. Still we had a great time capturing their photos. They are a great couple and I look forward to photographing their wedding.
